About us
Who are we?
Premier Wedding DJ is owned and ran by Bill and Chris Dye. Although we do specialise in weddings we provide entertainment for most occasions. We started off under the name PP Entertainments (www.ppentertainments.co.uk) and still carry on trading as such. We decided to bring together this website together with the name Premier Wedding DJ to promote and enhance our bespoke wedding packages we offer. We would also welcome you to visit our PP Entertainments website as some of our other services ie Karaoke, Race Night etc may be of some interest.
Premier Wedding DJ strive move away from being ‘just another disco’ to providing a top quality bespoke service. You will be surprised how very competitive our prices are especially considering the service we offer.
As members of NADJ (National Association of DJ's) and AmpDJ (Alliance of Mobile and Party DJ's) and through networking with other dj’s and disco services in the area, we constantly strive to raise the standards of not only ourselves but of other dj’s also. When discussing in general what we do for a living, we always hear of the horror stories other people have experienced when using a disco. However by the time they realise this it is too late to do anything about it. These stories make it more difficult for professional dj’s like ourselves. Due to his passion and commitment to the industry and relentless strive for improvement, Chris has recently accepted the post of Chairman for the North East and Cumbria Branch of the NADJ
Music has been a lifelong passion for us both. Bill decided some years ago to invest in Karaoke equipment to use for home entertainment. From there things started to develop into other interests especially Disco. Chris later decided to join this passion for music and entertaining became a career for us both. We formed PP Entertainments and quickly grew the business mainly through personal recommendations and from there we have never looked back. Premier Wedding DJ was the next logical step as we have always strived to provide the best wedding entertainment service around.
Even today, the most satisfying thing that can happen to us is to see everyone enjoy their night and give the bride and groom as well as their guests a night to remember. Although this is now our job we have not lost the passion and enjoyment we had when we first started.
Where do we cover?
Well, Chris lives just outside Chester-le-Street in County Durham and Bill lives in Haltwhistle, Northumberland. This gives us great scope and allows us to offer our services throughout the North East of England and into Cumbria. We are a Mobile business however and will, or indeed have, travelled further afield if requested. You can be assured that with every booking we take one or sometimes both will be your entertainer. We will not pass on your booking to another DJ. Should an emergency arrise (which has never happened yet) as mentioned we do network with other high quality DJ’s and as a member of NADJ and AmpDJ we have contacts with other members. We envisage never to have to do this but should we need to pass on a booking due to an emergency we will inform you and only provide cover from a high quality professional DJ with a high quality disco set up to match who will also be aware of what you require.

- All equipment is fully PAT (Portable Alliance Test), and we each carry £10m PLI (Public Liability insurance).
- It will be one of us that DJ for you. We do not hire other DJ's to cover your event. (except in the event of an extreme emergency, which you will be informed about).
- Free 'at home' consultations. We will visit you at a venue of your choice to discuss your requirements.
- Sound and Lighting Setups are discussed with yourself to ensure we provide what you want.
- Totally independant - we are there for YOU not working for a venue or an agency
- Experienced Wedding DJ's. As mentioned before we perform at many weddings and do not contract out any bookings made, so you can be rest assured you are getting a professional wedding DJ
- All bookings confirmed in writing.
- Other services available to enhance your special day including ceremony music, afternoon reception music, photo slideshow projection, photography, mood uplighting, race nights, karaoke.
- You choose the style of DJ'ing, whether you wish for a 'full on' club DJ or something very subtle. You can even let us know if you have a preference for dress code.

We will meet you at a venue of your choice where we can discuss your requirements and you can decide whether you would like to book us or not - we never apply pressure sales and will answer all questions honestly, if you request something we cannot provide we will let you know.
